Every LovFur™ memorial piece is created to hold something meaningful. With thoughtful care and proper storage, your keepsake can remain a beautiful part of the memories you carry forward.

General Care

Handle your memorial piece gently and avoid unnecessary drops, impacts, or pressure.

For regular cleaning, use a soft, clean, dry cloth to gently remove dust. Avoid abrasive materials, strong cleaning products, alcohol-based cleaners, or harsh chemicals, as they may damage the surface or finish.

Unless specifically designed for outdoor use, we recommend keeping your memorial item indoors in a cool, dry environment.

Memorial Urns

Keep urns in a stable, dry location away from direct sunlight, excessive heat, humidity, and water.

When moving or opening an urn, handle it carefully and make sure all lids, compartments, or closures are properly secured.

For wooden urns, avoid prolonged exposure to moisture, as natural wood may respond to changes in temperature and humidity.

Biodegradable & Mycelium Memorials

Our biodegradable memorial products are made with natural materials and are designed to return gently to the earth when the time feels right.

Before burial or planting:

  • Store in a cool, dry place.
  • Keep away from water and high humidity.
  • Avoid prolonged direct sunlight.
  • Do not place directly on wet surfaces.

Because natural and biodegradable materials can respond to their environment, slight variations in texture, color, or appearance are normal and part of their natural character.

Once you are ready for burial or planting, follow the specific instructions included with your product.

Memorial Jewelry

To help preserve the finish of memorial jewelry:

  • Avoid contact with perfume, lotions, household cleaners, chlorine, and salt water.
  • Remove jewelry before showering, swimming, exercising, or sleeping.
  • Wipe gently with a soft jewelry cloth after wearing.
  • Store separately in a dry pouch or jewelry box to help prevent scratches.

If your memorial jewelry contains a small compartment for ashes, fur, or another keepsake, ensure the closure is securely tightened before wearing.

Personalized Keepsakes

For custom photo products, keychains, ornaments, cushions, artwork, and other personalized pieces, avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, moisture, and excessive heat.

Fabric products should be cared for according to the instructions provided with the individual item. For printed or engraved surfaces, avoid aggressive scrubbing or chemical cleaners.

Long-Term Storage

If you plan to store your LovFur™ memorial piece for an extended period:

  • Choose a clean, dry, temperature-stable location.
  • Avoid basements, bathrooms, garages, or other areas with high humidity.
  • Keep delicate items protected from dust and accidental impact.
  • Store jewelry and small keepsakes separately to prevent scratching.
  • Keep biodegradable memorials completely dry until you are ready to use them.

A Note on Natural Materials

Many LovFur™ products are made from wood, mycelium, and other natural materials. Small variations in grain, texture, tone, or surface appearance may naturally occur.

These differences are not imperfections—they are part of what makes each memorial piece unique.
